Svea (pronounced “sphere”… the girl version of Sven) is the founder of Untangled, and keeps things truckin’. Originally German, she’s been a kiwi for more than 30 years; but kept the bent on efficiency the central Europeans are famous for.
Experienced and straight-talking, she’s adept at sizing up jobs and communicating clearly with you about what needs to be done. That’s probably her teacher training coming through (Svea is fluent in four languages, and was a high school English teacher prior to Untangled).
She loves being out and about, getting her hands dirty in the garden. When asked why, she cheekily winks and responds “simple mind, simple pleasures”. But we know it’s because it appeases her sense of order. When your garden is in a state where it’s growing into a better version of itself, she’s happy. When it’s growing into a jungle… well… let’s just say it needs ‘guidance’! With a chainsaw if necessary.
Favourite type of job: “this place is more tangled up than the cat’s ball of wool!”
Aussie shepherds are basically our mascots, since we all seem to have one. Svea’s is named Blue. He seems chilled out at first, but really he’s just jaded and a huge cynic. You can see more of him on the dogs’ Instagram page here.
